Administer effective and responsible procurements to maximize the value of public funds for Montana.
The State Procurement Bureau (SPB) provides professional procurement services to state agencies to acquire supplies and services. SPB ensures compliance with all state statutes and procurement requirements, establishes statewide term contracts for cost savings, manages the state fuel and purchasing card programs, and offers procurement training to state agencies. The SPB supports the eMACS system which provides a central location for vendors interested in bidding on state projects.
